The only incompatibility I may imagine is that my old power supply has an ATX 20-pin power cord to the motherboard whereas the new motherboard has an ATX 24-pin connector. I have changed my RAM, taken out all non essential PCI cards including PCI E's, taken the RAM out altogether (no post beeps occuring), Unplugged HDD's and changed them around... so I hit the restart button and from that, nothing come on the screen. Try testing the volt output on the adaptor pin which connects into the laptop with the help of a voltmeter.
