Windows Installer Keeps Trying To Install Roxio Media Manager

It took me a few times, but I finally got it gone. So here's the tricky part. Do a search for "Research In Motion" if anyone knows where the Application Data folder is, its in there. Desktop | Mobile | Mobile Lite Advertising Partner Welcome!

i have done all of the above except for removing roxio from add/remove programs, because like i said in original post, it does not show up there. I cant uninstall it because the install is running contantly, and I cant shut down the install, no way in the world. Attend this month’s webinar to learn more. In the meantime, it seems as if I just keep Windows Installer disabled, it is solving my problem for now.

I'm completely out of ideas and it's getting very very annoying, making my computer unfunctionable. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when I upgraded to DM 5.0 and it happened to me all over again! Roxio Media Manager also doesn't appear in my 'Add/Remove Applications' list under my control panel. I've heard it could be related.

I tried to uninstall it but a window pops up that states Windows Installer is running. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package. (shows a browse button). Join the community here, it only takes a minute. CCleaner has been used to clean out any crap, as I do every day.

Reply xamptore CrackBerry User Posts 14 Posts 08-03-09, 09:27 PM #12   I've had the same problem, what I did to fix this was uninstall DM then deleted the the data folder it Anyone else got any bright ideas? it seems to be impossible to track down where roxio lives and remove it short of re-installing XP, hence the reference to the holy grail and roxio themselves make very sure i cant find it anywhere.

It will show me everything thats starts when you boot and logon. is there anyway that I can stop that and get rid of whatever it is? now comes the real trick where timing is necessary, you will need to set the service to "manual", then go to your add/remove programs and remove roxio altogether.

in my amiga days thre was ann amiga program that let you see what was doing what in real time, but windows PCs are not as good as miggies. Roxio, the leader in Digital Media Software Login _ Social Sharing Find TechSpot on... I right clicked on it and chose Go To Process. Thanks, friend-of-the-downtrodden-bb-roxio-unsupported-people!!!!!! There is no uninstall program anywhere that I can find for this product. I don't get propted to do anything it just goes ahead and does it until it all goes pear shaped and as soon as the installer thing starts I end the Within the last three days my computer running Windows XP has started trying to install Roxio Media Manager.
