    There is no such thing as free domains unless you go for .cc, .nr, or .tk. I’d prefer .cc if I were you. As for free web hosting, using Freehostia.

    You are able to use http://dyndns.com/ to get free subdomains or buy a domain for $15 a year. After that, you can have it redirect to your house and run your own webserver out of your house. It works really well!
