I've heard that it depends what XP service pack you have (Because I also tried winsock fixes that I had found on some forums to no avail)…I don't even know which XP tried to repair it but couldnt renew the IP address. :\ Thanks for reminding me about SP2 though, I forgot to reinstall it after my system crashed.
