Computer Cutting Off


Is there a way to tell how hot my CPU is running? Staples has a wonderful "No Questions Asked" return policy. Last night however it happened nine times. I would be in the middle of something and then it would just shut off, not shut down, and then it would sometimes restart itself sometimes not.
