Those attempting to use ComboFix on their own do not have such information and are at risk when running the tool in an unsupervised environment. Any suggestions on how this thing made it's way to my computer, and tips/settings on how to never get it again? Even then, with some types of malware infections, the task can be arduous. For instance, running HijackThis on a 64-bit machine may show log entries which indicate (file missing) when that is NOT always the case. Reboot windows and press F8 at boot/windows startup, usually right after the beep. No one should be using ComboFix unless specifically instructed to do so by a Malware Removal Expert who can interpret the logs.
