Downloading the XP codecs worked for me as well. I follow up a very simple staps and my computer now is working very well and perfect and i can hear the voice again ^_^ finaly . I had to go in and delete the contents of both DRM folders in the registry (under both microsoft and the wow folder). I was about to give up, and then I installed another CODEC PACK and it worked! I just logoff and log back in after installation and WMP11 play all my AVI again….Ya!

There's got to be a sure-fire way to fix this -- can anyone help? And like I said, what fields are available depends on the video file format, but they generally have enough fields to be useful. Changed drive letter from C to D and problem solved. Thank you!
