Svchost.exe Is Hoging My CPU On Login

Thanks to your post I could quickly identify the svchost process and tethered wuauserv service as the leading cause. Would it have worked if I had just downloaded and run fix_svchost.bat? What does your .bat file do exactly? I used to blame it on wuauclt.exe, but your solution fixed it immediately.

After I took all the important - necessary updates I needed , I have disabled the windows update service and I will check the updates time to time by myself. If I let my computer go long enough then it will use up all my RAM and I have 3GB.
