March 12, 2012 Lisa Thanks so much!!! I thought it was my ancient computer causing the problems, but this made world of difference! More info: Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode. If the problem still persists after that, I will have to assume that some hardware component is malfunctioning, in which case I'll just buy a new laptop. 12-18-2011, 11:21 AM see here

That problem had been bugging me for ages. It is March 2012 now. You can not post a blank message. Any help would be appreciated Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 7.

I know about the Kill-bit, etc, etc. If I cannot wiggle that toggle, how can I shock my ‘Shockwave” into behaving itself??? The other 5% is usually a power supply and the same heat problem.Since November, I've watched two desktops, a laptop, and my G5 iMac do this. since Google is ending support for Flash in Chrome.

This is what happened after I disabled hardware acceleration and disabled "protected mode." Everything worked for a bit, and then went back to hanging and crashing. Be sure to read our guide to Troubleshooting Google Chrome crashes for more tips. What do I do in this case? ========================================================================= Flash (3 files) - Version: 11,1,102,63 Shockwave Flash 11.1 r102 Name: Shockwave Flash Description: Shockwave Flash 11.1 r31 Version: 11.1.31.203 Location: C:\Users\Silvia\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\PepperFlash\11.1.31.203\pepflashplayer.dll http://newwikipost.org/topic/mDPILjRJSvZYb9aQJavun2sAjrG11KH5/Flash-Player-causing-system-malfunction.html This is a very annoying problem and I'm going to have to ditch Firefox if I can't fix it.

I will give that a shot. I realized that only when I'm running something that uses Flash Player do I get these system hangs. Computer starts lagging and the chime you hear when you click on something drags on for a few seconds. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2191422 The crash report seems to show Hola Unblocker running. I try hard to handle computers and the related software in a more intelligent way, and believe me, as much as I know Chrome has a few sniffy weaknesses regards cookies, Since then I have not had a single crash on Flash.

I'm going back to Safe Mode for 10-15 minutes to see if it happens there at all. While I don't use the laptop as much, I have NEVER noticed this occurring.EDIT: Mike that was ironically what I was just thinking with the video card difference. I have done a fresh Win 7 install a couple months ago and JUST NOW put flash back on here...now it's crashing. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 5.

it help a lot :) March 11, 2012 Lisa Bolo Amazing, that worked!!

Also, my Avast antivirus system popped up a warning of a trojan that they blocked, coming from flash, right after flash crashed. To answer your questions:> How extensive is the "crash"?The computer simply and suddenly reboots, and I lose anything I was working on.> Does Explorer freeze up? I think you already have found all the general advice. I'd greatly appreciate some help here!

No other software of any kind causes this PC to lock up, so this is clearly a Flash-triggered problem. A lot of good knowledge there. Flash Player errors or Adobe Flash errors are problems associated with the Adobe software. However, the system only hangs when I'm running Flash.

If there are other things I can try to fully eliminate the problem, please let me know. Thanks,Will Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 22.
