Dual Boot XP & Ghosting To Different Partitions?

Why can't we remove the sqrt from rms? One of them was a dual boot drive and after a bunch of fooling around I switched to 7tools partition manager. It's as if the drive partition is not active or some such situation. Weird. his comment is here

So thanks for all the help. Doing a clean install of XP onto the C: drive works. If you do it drive to drive instead of partition to partition, it should work.

I chose to boot Windows XP Mini from that disc just to get access to the partitons of hda and hdb. I backed up hda2 and successfully restored it on hdb1. (Sizes of hda1 and hdb1 matched.) The problem is that in addition to the installation partition your drive contains a Master Boot Record and (I think) a Boot Loader that are not in any partition.
