Now even when I turn on the 'show hidden devices' feature, the CD/DVD device is NOT seen! So, the next time on the boot menu the option to boot to the CD drive was not there, but then a couple days later it was there, and then the Code-45 error was shown. In Device Manager, click Action, select Scan for hardware changes, then wait for Windows to find and install the CD/DVD drive.
