Computer Freezes For 5-10 Seconds Every Minute [XP SP3]

I had already installed the 927891 or whatever number it was service pack that you mentioned, and already had the windows update agent. Cheers man** (Lilliput - Singapore) Revo says July 4, 2008 at 2:08 am Incredible!… I found a very noticeable improvement! Javascript Disabled Detected You currently have javascript disabled. My specs: Windows XP (SP3 ofc) Intel Core i5-2500k (3.30GHz) 3.2GB RAM (4GB on a 32-bit system) Radeon HD4870 (1GB) Page File set to about 8GBs (150GBs HD space free) MXXVI, This Site

I thought i could solve the problem by eliminating hp printer from startup programs with no success. They gave me the same instructions as POST 33. 1. Hardware diagnostics give you objective feedback to help you track down a problem.  That saves you time and money. jonson says March 21, 2008 at 2:54 am Hello Bryce, i followed your steps you have posted… however when i restarted my comp agen after following your steps..

The rest are only taking up around 4,000. There is absolutely no slowdown in framerate neither before nor after the freeze and there is never any indication that it's going to happen. I got no issue in any other game but this one. May seem stupid, but I read somewhere that this is a fix for MSI not working properly sometimes and I didn't know better at the time.

  • Your fix deserves a grammy award.
  • Steam is making a process like something described above and is putting its priority as higher than the game.
  • For me the CPU hog thing wasn't that big of a problem because all I did was end the scvhost process that was using the CPU and it didn't come back
  • I ran a scan with MB Pro and it didn't turn out anything dangerous.

Just thought I'd throw that in there in case that may help with something. This indicates a potential instability in the process that could be caused by the custom components running in the COM+ application, the components they make use of, or other factors. Register now! I'm very hesitant about recommending Evernote to any Windows user at the moment..

Of course, I did start with the HP software as it is usually junk (but the printer was less than $50 new, so I cant complain if I can fix it!!). Does anyone have a fix for this issue? Hats off to Post 33. Re: Flash Player keeps crashing my computer Carl E.

Im not sure if the svchost is the main reason for this, but do you think that these patches would solve the problem ?

There was another entry in SystemVolumeInformation\_restore that I don't recall off the top of my head, but I have the log saved at home which I can bring up when I Clicking Here Rick says August 20, 2008 at 2:12 pm Okay, I did the fix and not sure if it worked. Plus when I open "cmd" and type in ipconfig /renew it says that the rpc service or server something like is not available. My computer runs normal without that windows live, svchost is normal and the speakers work.

ahmed says October 13, 2008 at 1:41 pm i followed it but i still have the problem and i have Hp laserjet 1005 drive. Which is probably true as my system is in German. Please help! read review I used the driver disc that came with my card which is 266.44 (latest version is 280.26).

I'm happy to send over a log file from when it occurs. I've attempted to submit a support ticket several times on this matter over the last few days, but when I It appears to be a ATI file. Now I get alot of BLANK web pages or no video.

However, I did not detect a problem until I installed my nvidia geforce 8800gs video card.

Steam ZIPs up the map and each of it's resource files (into seperate "BZIP" format archive files), and then transfers/uploads them to the client's (buddy's) PC... try here Padilla Carranglan Nueva Ecija.

Secondly, I have at least ten occurances of CLI.exe in my list that use up even more resources than svchost. I have used the repair install as a last resort on a couple of occasions. My svchost.exe (Service that controls Remote Procedure Calls - rpcss) gradually increases in memory utilization until my PC maxes out with no RAM available. Karen D.

At first I thought it was something with my new rig, but after playing WoW shortly after on ultra, it has not occurred. Way to make your products look more like a polished turd!!!
